Project:

To organize a Bouldering Competition in Singapore and promote sport climbing to be a mainstream sport.

Objectives:

To foster individual competitive spirit, resiliency and improve the standard of climbing for rock climbers in Singapore with the aim to achieve the title of the best climber in Singapore.

Estimated duration:

- 3 days of competition with 3 different categories for Male and Female

- Inform Climb Asia regarding made-to-order wall 2 months in advance so they can prepare

Estimated cost: $30000

Includes Event Singlet, made-to-order wall from Climb Asia, stationaries, printer, drills

Responsibility matrix:

We need responsible people who are capable and honest in judging and avoid any favoritism.

Current Issues:

There is a lack of manpower since these competitions are a rarity so most climber would rather join the competition than help out. Also, getting sponsors is tricky since Sport Climbing is not a very popular sport yet.

Manpower Requirements:

We would need volunteers from the climbing community to be route setters, route judges, spotters, time keeper, admin members and crowd control. This is to ensure the smooth flowing of events since everyone have different roles to perform.

Resources Requirements:

We need a climbing tiles to set up routes, tapes of different colors, stationaries, ladders and drills.

Reflection:

I think E-portfolio is cool as we can put in videos and photos easily and everything is made into one.
